The 2025 edition, by Ponleu

The 2025 release was made with Tribe Art Gallery and the Cambodian artist Ponleu Prom, and launched on 1 May 2025 at the opening of Golden Goddess, an exhibition of work drawn from the temples of Angkor, held at Plantation Urban Resort and Spa and curated by Nat Di Maggio.

Ponleu was born in 1994 in Siem Reap province and had no formal training. He studied at evening classes at Colours of Cambodia. His label went on to win a Gold Medal in the Limited Editions category at the Asian Print Awards, 2025.

Why golden apple

The fruit ripens for two months of the year and nowhere near enough of it exists to make gin year round. That is the reason Pearl of Asia is a limited edition rather than a permanent bottling.
